What an invitation! When we come to Jesus…when we become yoked together with him…when we fully submit to learning from him, our burden becomes light. I heard a long time ago story about a traveler who carried a heavy load upon his back. A farmer stopped and offered the man a ride in his wagon. The traveler appreciated the ride but kept the heavy load upon his back. When the farmer suggested that he remove it and place it in the wagon, the traveler responded, “Oh, you are so kind to carry me on my journey, it’s too much to expect you to carry my load as well.” Friends, Jesus wants to carry us and our load. Let’s give it all to him.
