Acts 28:30-31 (KJV)

And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him, Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.

Paul was both bound and free. At this time in his life he couldn’t travel to others, but others came to him. God closed one door and opened another. Two years was a long time to be detained, but no doubt more was accomplished for the kingdom by the door God opened than could have been accomplished by the door God closed. And remember, much of our New Testament was written during the time of Paul’s imprisonment. God’s way is always the right way and the best way.
