For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the remission that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
Good news for all! There is power in God’s grace to save everyone who will put their trust in Jesus. The dark and sad fact in v. 23, “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God,” has its answer in the bright and glorious reality in v. 24, “Being justified freely by his grace through the remission that is in Christ Jesus.” “What can wash away my sin? Nothing but the blood of Jesus. What can make me whole again? Nothing but the blood of Jesus. Oh, precious is the flow that makes me white as snow. No other fount I know, nothing but the blood of Jesus.”
