But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
We know not the day and hour of his coming, but we know he is coming. Back in Noah’s day, people busied themselves and took comfort in being part of the multitude that ignored Noah’s preaching and warning of a coming judgment. Did being part of the crowd save them? Let us not take comfort in numbers; and let us prepare for Jesus’ coming by doing all we can to gather our family into the ark of God’s mercy, truth, and love just as Noah did with his family.
