The Story of Noah and the Flood, Part 4 (Genesis 7)

Sometime after Noah and his family finished building the ark, God told them the rain would begin in seven days. How would Noah catch all the animals and bring them into the ark in such a short period of time? That could have been a big problem, but God took care of it. First, he told Noah and his family to enter the ark. Then, God himself caused the land animals and birds to come to the giant boat, and they went into the ark two by two in perfect order. I would call that a miracle, wouldn’t you? It seems all Moses and his family had to do was help them find the right rooms and give them food to eat. There was only one door to the ark, and when Noah and his family and all the animals were safe inside, God himself shut the door. The people outside surely looked on in amazement as the animals entered the ark in perfect order, but not one person turned away from their sins so they could enter the ark of safety. I think that’s really sad, and I’m sure you do as well. After the door was shut it started raining, and it rained very, very hard for forty days and forty nights. The waters rose higher and higher and the ark was lifted up from land and started to float. The waters soon covered everything, even the highest hills and mountains, and everyone outside the ark was destroyed just as God said it would happen. How long do you think it will be before the ark is on dry ground again? Tomorrow we will find out.
