Mark 1:6-7 (KJV)

And John was clothed with camel’s hair, and with a girdle of a skin about his loins; and he did eat locusts and wild honey; And preached, saying, There cometh one mightier than I after me, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to stoop down and unloose.

John the Baptist came to exalt Christ, and that’s what he did over and over again. What about us? Whether by preaching, teaching, or conversing it is our primary calling as believers to exalt Christ in all that we do. Paul said in 2 Corinthians 4:5, “For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake.” May God help us to look for opportunities to exalt Jesus each and every day. He is so worthy.
