Mark 5:41-42 (KJV)

And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise. And straightway the damsel arose, and walked; for she was of the age of twelve years. And they were astonished with a great astonishment.

Jairus was a ruler of the synagogue. His twelve year old daughter was very ill, and he asked Jesus to come and heal her. Before they arrived word came that his daughter was dead, but Jesus said to the father, “Be not afraid, only believe.” He then spoke the words, “Damsel, I say unto thee, arise,” and she arose and walked. Is there anything too hard for Jesus? Oh, let us bring the circumstances of our life to Jesus and hear him say, “Be not afraid, only believe.”
