Mark 13:1-2 (KJV)

And as he went out of the temple, one of his disciples saith unto him, Master, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here! And Jesus answering said unto him, Seest thou these great buildings? there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

We are told that the Temple, after being beautified and expanded by Herod over a period of forty years, covered about one sixth of the city of Jerusalem. It was a very massive and impressive structure, but where is it today? Jesus said, “There shall not be left one stone upon another,” and in a short time everything was destroyed just as Jesus said. May we learn the lesson and learn it well; everything of this earth is temporal and will soon pass away, only God and His ways are eternal.
