John 11:32-36 (KJV)

Then when Mary was come where Jesus was, and saw him, she fell down at his feet, saying unto him, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died. When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping which came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled. And said, Where have ye laid him? They said unto him, Lord, come and see.  Jesus wept.

John 11:35, “Jesus wept,” the shortest verse but a very special verse in the Bible. It shows that when an answer to prayer is delayed, the reason for delay is not because Jesus is unconcerned. He is very concerned; he weeps with us and shares in our suffering. Friend, Jesus loves you and wants what is best for you. Bill Bright was right when he said, “God created us to love us and to be in loving relationship with him. It is so simple that a child can understand it, yet few of us adults have really comprehended it.” May we know Jesus is weeping with us in our trials, and may we become little children again.
