Acts 21:13-14 (KJV)

Then Paul answered, What mean ye to weep and to break mine heart? for I am ready not to be bound only, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus. And when he would not be persuaded, we ceased, saying, The will of the Lord be done.

Paul was warned by a prophet named Agabus that if he returned to Jerusalem he would be bound and handed over to the Gentiles, but he was determined to go even though he had knowledge of the consequences. Prison or death or what other fate, Paul was ready for it all for he knew he was in God’s will for him to return to Jerusalem. Friends, if God allows misfortune to fall, let us have a kindred spirit with Paul. Whatever it is, if it is the path God has picked out for us, God will bring us through it for our own good and for his glory.
