My times are in thy hand: deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me. Make thy face to shine upon thy servant: save me for thy mercies' sake.
“My times are in thy hand.” Do we believe as David that when we commit ourselves to the Lord, the Lord commits himself to us? David also said in verse 5 of this Psalm, “Into thy hands I commit my spirit,” and Jesus quoted the same words when He died on Calvary as recorded in Luke 23:46. Friends, there can be no greater peace than knowing that in both life and death we are the Lords as affirmed in Romans 14:8, “For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.”
