Galatians 1:3-5 (KJV)

Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father: To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

What a great thing God did for us in sending his Son to “deliver us from this present evil world.” There was no other way for mankind to be saved. 1 Peter 2:24 says that Jesus “bore our sins in His own body on the tree.” “Oh, the love that drew salvation’s plan! Oh, the grace that brought it down to man! Oh, the mighty gulf that God did span, at Calvary!” And it’s all “according to the will of God and our Father: To whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.”
