Galatians 2:20 (KJV)

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

I think this verse is close to Romans 6:11, which reads “Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Jesus died for our sins that we might die to our sins. He rose for our justification that we might rise to newness of life. To be crucified with Christ, is to die to our old sinful life and experience the resurrected Christ as our new source of life; and because Jesus lives in us now, we will live with him forever in heaven.
