Paul held the highest of all goals and pursued the highest of all callings, “to know Christ.” Nothing can be greater than knowing Jesus as our Lord and Savior and growing in that relationship day by day. Our Daily Bread shares, “If our goal is merely service for the Lord, we may burn out somewhere along the line. But if our purpose, like Paul’s, is to know Christ and love Him, we’ll find that he will give us the strength to make him known to others.” Oh, more and more, let it be our goal and calling to know Jesus and the power of His resurrection.
