Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
Do we love God with all our heart, and do we love our neighbor as we love ourselves? Is God expecting too much of His people when He commands that it be so? These are heart-searching questions, but they are easily answered when we consider the great love God has for us and the God-given potential of every life to receive and communicate the love of Jesus to others. Oh, let us “love Him because He first loved us.”
