Matthew 23:37-38 (KJV)

O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!  Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.

“Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.” Is it God’s fault when life becomes a mess because of our sins? No, self destruction is the natural consequence of disobedience to God; by running from God we run directly into the hands of Satan, the one who desires to destroy us because he hates our creator. The good news we need to live and share with others is that the arms of Jesus are always extended to gather under the wings of God every soul that looks to him in faith. Aren’t you glad for a savior like Jesus?
