Acts 4:18-20 (KJV)

And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus. But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye. For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.

Christians are taught to “submit to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake;” however, not so when the commandments of men are in conflict with the commandments of God. As with Peter and John, may the church today be so moved by divine truth that we are compelled to share it. When we cannot refrain from doing what is right, God is working in us and through us.
