1 Corinthians 1:23-25 (KJV)

But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

“Christ…a stumblingblock,” Have you ever stumbled and fallen? What happened next? You probably got back up and kept going if you were able to do so. Those who stumble spiritually need to get back up and by God’s mercy and grace keep on going for the Lord. The sad fact is that many stumble over the truth of the gospel of Christ (calling it “foolishness”) and they never get back up. May God help us to lift up those who have fallen, lift them up to God in prayer and give them to “Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.”
