There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
What a wonderful and assuring word of help. Everyone faces temptation, but God promised that he “will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” We also read in Hebrews 4:15 that Jesus was “in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.” Have we considered that our primary way of escape from temptation is Jesus who lives in our heart and always stands by our side?
