What a mess we inherited from Adam. His sin nature passed on to us; and we followed the path of sin just as Adam, a path that always ends in death. All was hopeless until Jesus came. “But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept;” and those who put their trust in Jesus receive credit for what he did on our behalf. Jesus destroyed death by his death and resurrection; and now “the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ, our Lord.” What a mess we inherited from Adam, but what great riches we have inherited from Christ!
