Ask thee a sign of the LORD thy God; ask it either in the depth, or in the height above. But Ahaz said, I will not ask, neither will I tempt the LORD…Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
Immanuel, the name means “God with us.” How amazing is the fact that the God of the universe chose to become one with us. How amazing the fact that Immanuel was born of a virgin, and how amazing that the virgin birth of Christ was the fulfillment of a sign promised way back in the days of Isaiah. How amazing that there are many, many fulfilled prophesies regarding Christ’s coming to earth even the fact that He would be born in Bethlehem. Dear friends, God is real, his Word is true, and “God is with us” when we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior. How amazing!
