As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and established in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. A good beginning is important when we receive Christ by faith. But beginning a race doesn’t count if we fall out somewhere along the way before the race is completed. There are many deceitful distractions to detour us, but let’s stick to the basics. If we continue to walk in Christ as we received him, if we are rooted and build up in him, if we become established in the faith, then know that “ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power.”
