Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.
A short hand and a heavy ear on God’s part was not Israel’s problem. They were separated from God because of their sins and disobedience. God is a just God, and He will not be a part of injustice. It was true back then and it is still true today. The Bible also says, “If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me.” But oh, how forgiving God is when His people turn from their sins and pray. “The Lord’s hand is not shortened that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear.”
