Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. Hear the admonition, “Take heed, brethren…exhort one another daily.” Know that “having an evil heart of unbelief,” in departing from the living God, and being “hardened through the deceitfulness of sin” is spiritual suicide. Our enemy is a deceiver, and he is out to get us all if he can; but by the grace of God we can “hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast unto the end” because by the grace of God “we are made partakers of Christ.”
