James 1:21-22 (KJV)

Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

Adrian Rogers said, “God did not call us to sit, soak, and sour, but to serve. Being hearers only of the Word is not enough; it’s being “doers of the Word” that count with God. And it all begins when we “receive with meekness the engrafted Word, which is able to save (our) souls.” When God’s Word is engrafted (or planted) into your heart by the Holy Spirit, you are delivered from the power of sin and given power to become “doers of the Word." Just keep your little hand in God’s big hand and all will be well.
