1 Peter 4:8-10 (KJV)

And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins. Use hospitality one to another without grudging. As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

“Love shall cover the multitude of sins.” His love for us covered our multitude of sins when he took our place at Calvary; and Jesus said, “by this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” Peter also shares that our commitment to exercise godly love should be “above all things” (it should be our number one priority). Oh, may the love of God be “shed abroad in our hearts” so that we may love others as Jesus loved us.
