Jude 17-21 (KJV)

But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit. But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

Many have fallen away in our day and have even become mockers walking after ungodly lusts, but today’s Bible passage encourages us to keep ourselves “in the love of God.” Oh, let us by prayer and faith treasure up the words of inspiration in the Bible for it is divine truth that will keep us and hold us steady during times of temptation. The Word of God is also our means of sanctification and Christian growth. It will keep us “in the love of God” and it will keep us “looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.”
