In our last story we talked about how Abel trusted and obeyed God, but his older brother, Cain, did not. I think we learn from them that there are two kinds of people in the world, those that serve God and those that do not. Have you ever heard about the story of Enoch in the Bible? He lived at a time when most of the people around him were very wicked, but Enoch did what was right. Enoch trusted and obeyed God no matter what everyone else did. He didn’t follow a bad example, but he set a good example by the life he lived. In fact, the Bible says that Enoch walked with God, and one day God took him on home to heaven. Enoch was taken up into heaven without dying. He just disappeared from the earth. A lot of people were probably looking for him and asking, “Has anyone seen Enoch?” When Jesus comes back to earth again the same thing is going to happen to Christians. Those who have died will come alive again, and those who are still alive will be taken up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air and will be forever be with the Lord. Won’t that be exciting? Another interesting fact about Enoch is that he had a son named Methuselah who lived for 969 years. Wow! I hope he believed in God and obeyed God like his father, Enoch.
What will happen to Christians when Jesus comes back to earth again?
