And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.
There’s something wrong with man’s nature that man can’t fix. We put a man on the moon, but we can’t rid our heart of its sin. Aren‘t you glad that Jesus came to do for us what we could not do for ourselves? I think the song fits here, “I can't take a heart that's broken, make it over again. But I know a man who can. I can't take a soul that's sin sick and wash it white as snow. But I know a man who can.”
