Luke 22:31-32 (KJV)

And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.

Satan is behind all evil, and God is behind all the good in this world. We read that “every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning” (James 1:17). Satan tried to pull Peter down and destroy him (and he tries the same with us); but Jesus did not give up on Peter when he stumbled and fell and neither will Jesus give up on us. Jesus is interceding for you and gives you victory over all the forces of evil. Trust him today.
